Once upon a time…

(isn’t that how all great stories start?) 

My dad brought me a chair knowing I liked vintage things. A few years later I knew this little black chair with character, could be prettier. And so it began. The attraction to chairs. To make them pretty again.

Maybe prettier. 

Then we took on the challenge of building a home. Oh boy! I remember the trucks of lumber coming up and all of the scrap cut from them. Ugh! All I could see was dollar bills lying around in the wet gravel. One day my husband asked why there were two piles of scrap. “One is mine. One is for the fire pit.” What could these scrap ‘Blocks’ become? And so a new attraction began.
